Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Performs duties related to the maintenance and operations of equipment in a Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) facility. Installs, repairs and maintains air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, ventilation, electrical systems and other associated equipment. Repairs and maintains electrical, plumbing and sewerage operations. Keeps basic records of work activities and provides technical assistance. Inspects and checks for the working performance of equipment according to specifications. Performs checks and tests on mechanical equipment. Minimum Requirements

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS

Two years of experience in the maintenance or repair of HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, or electrical systems. Substitute

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

(AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be 18 years of age. Working Conditions May be required to take care of emergency repairs twenty-four hours a day. Probationary Period This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in

KRS 18A.111.
