Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems in accordance with electrical blueprints, schematics, and local codes. Occasional work on residential for commercial, industrial customers. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely and accurately on construction sites or renovation projects. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to guide installation and maintenance activities. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify faults and determine appropriate solutions. Follow strict electrical safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete wiring tasks efficiently and precisely. Troubleshoot complex electrical systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and industrial electrical components. Assist in the installation of high-voltage wiring systems while adhering to safety protocols for working with high-voltage electricity. Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within structural frameworks such as framing or carpentry. Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections completed, and repairs made for compliance and future reference. Experience Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical work. Hands-on experience reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently using diagnostic tools like voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters. Knowledge of local electrical codes, NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 standards, and safety procedures related to electrical work. Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving high-voltage wiring or industrial electrical systems. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems used in industrial automation is highly desirable.
