We only do Christmas lights. Every design is custom-cut and stored in our own software, and every install includes takedown, storage, and service during the season. We're growing fast, and we're looking for a leader to grow with us. The role This is a leadership role, not a seasonal crew job. Your goal is to own operations from start to finish. You'll be the person responsible for making sure every home is lit correctly each season, and for making each season run more smoothly than the last. In your first season, you'll work side by side with the owner and learn every part of the operation: job prep, scheduling, crew coordination, installs, takedowns, inventory, quality control, and customer relationships. As you learn, you'll help turn how we work into clear, repeatable systems. By the end (year 3), you'll be leading installs and running operations yourself. This is a 2-year contract position. A non-compete agreement is required. What you'll do Lead installs and takedowns on site, coordinating installation crews and subcontractors and making sure every job meets our standard Schedule and quality-check every job, from prep through final walk-through Build relationships with customers as the face of our installs, from the first visit through renewals Prep jobs: cutting, labeling, and staging light strands from job diagrams and material lists Handle ground work, ladder work at the eaves, power checks, timers, and GFCIs on every install Handle service calls during the season Own post-season packing, labeling, and inventory so nothing goes missing Find ways to make every season faster, cleaner, and better organized, and write down the checklists and procedures that make that possible What we're looking for A self-starter who takes ownership: when something's wrong, you fix it and figure out how to prevent it next time Comfortable on ladders and working outdoors in cold weather Able to lift and carry 75+ lbs Your own truck that can tow a utility trailer (optional) Valid driver's license and a driving record we can insure Organized and detail-oriented, with a habit of following and improving checklists Comfortable directing others and holding crews to a standard Professional and personable with homeowners Comfortable using a phone app for job details, checklists, and photos Nice to have Experience in roofing, gutters, painting, landscaping, electrical, or other trades Holiday lighting experience Experience leading a crew or managing subcontractors Schedule Available mid-September through the end of January each season At least 20 hours per week starting October 1 Full availability through November as demand requires Pay and incentives Hourly pay during your training season. After that, pay moves to a per-install rate for installs and stays hourly for prep work.
