Job DescriptionIngram Marine Group is seeking an Electrician to join our team in Paducah, KY. This person will be responsible for electrical systems maintenance for running vessels, overhauling and repowering vessels. They will interact with vessel associates, and external vendors to install electronic throttles, alarm systems, steering systems, and other electrical repairs with focus on Zero HarmWhat you'll be doing: Working hands on with Ingram associates and vendors during the overhaul processInstalling electrical systems onboard vessels in accordance with Subchapter M regulationsMaintaining knowledge of current and new technologiesCalibrating, testing, inspecting, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic devices (PLCs, transmitters, controllers etc.)Assisting in the design, engineering, and procurement of electrical equipment and instrumentation systemsDeveloping procedures and documentation for USCG approval for equipment upgrades for vessels per Subchapter M regulationsAttending routine staff, overhaul, ISAFE & project progress meetings as requiredCommunicating needs for projects and overhauls/supervising daily shore side repairsAssisting Chief Engineers with "hands on" maintenance and repair tasks during overhaulAssisting Chief Engineers with on board maintenance procedures during overhaulCompleting records and other documents from repairsPerforming special technical assignments as directed by the Manager of Electrical ProjectsPossessing a high level of marine electrical knowledge with focus on Zero Harm and safetyAssuring essential documentation from vessel repairs are maintainedSupporting department activities with regular and prompt attendanceWorking hands on with training of chief and junior engineers
QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
A high level of knowledge of the vessels and vessel systems is required for this position.

Exceptional people skills are also required prior to, during, and after the projects to assure customer satisfaction is maintained at a high level.

Ability to work with indirect reports, vendors, and processes across multiple areasMust be able to organize and prioritize large amounts of information and use information to align with customer service, operations, and engineering regulatory and company specifications.

Should possess the ability to cross functionally work with multiple department representatives to achieve common goals.

A high level of knowledge of PLCs, AC and DC controls and systems is required.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED 3-5 years as a marine electrician
NFPA 70E
certification or the ability to obtain 
Valid TWIC CardAdditional InformationWorking Environment and Conditions:
Must have the physical ability to transit all work environments for vessel and facility docks (i.e. lifting, climbing, confined spaces, maneuver hazardous areas)Able to work in extreme weather conditionsWalking on uneven surfacesTraveling to other facilitiesOn-call 24 hours/day and weekend in a rotating schedule, including holidaysAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
