Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial environments, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and local electrical codes. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and schematics to accurately execute installation and maintenance tasks. Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify issues quickly and efficiently. Conduct high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage system work in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete wiring projects, conduit bending, panel upgrades, and system modifications. Troubleshoot complex electrical systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrical systems, and commercial electrical infrastructure. Follow all electrical safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment while working on construction sites or renovation projects. Read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately to guide installation processes for new builds or upgrades. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards. Qualifications Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems. Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams effectively. Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, local electrical codes, and safety procedures. Experience working with high-voltage electrical wiring as well as low-voltage systems in various settings including construction sites or renovations. Skilled in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and industrial electrical diagnostics is highly desirable. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail. Construction site experience combined with handyman skills such as framing carpentry or general maintenance is a plus. Valid electrician license or certification recognized by the relevant authority is required; ongoing professional development is encouraged.
