An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.
Advantage Labor, Inc. is seeking experienced Industrial Journeyman Electricians for construction, maintenance, shutdown, turnaround, and project work at industrial plants and facilities . Hotel and Per Diem Candidates must have strong industrial electrical experience, be safety-focused, dependable, and capable of performing quality work with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment. Install and bend rigid conduit, EMT, and PVC-coated rigid conduit . Install cable tray, supports, junction boxes, panels, disconnects, transformers, and electrical equipment. Pull, route, label, and terminate power and control wiring. Perform electrical terminations on 480V and other industrial electrical systems . Install and connect motors, MCCs, VFDs, transformers, panels, and distribution equipment. Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, one-lines, wiring diagrams, and construction drawings . Troubleshoot electrical circuits, motors, controls, and equipment using proper testing instruments. Perform installations in classified/hazardous locations when required. Follow

70E, OSHA, and all site-specific safety procedures. Coordinate with I&E technicians, millwrights, welders, pipefitters, operators, and other crafts. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Qualifications Journeyman-level industrial electrical experience required. Previous experience working in industrial plants and facilities . Strong conduit bending and installation skills. Experience with cable tray and industrial cable installation. Experience with motors, MCCs, VFDs, transformers, panels, and electrical distribution systems. Ability to read electrical prints, schematics, and one-lines. Strong troubleshooting skills. Must provide required electrical hand tools. Must be able to work overtime, weekends, shutdown schedules, and extended shifts when required. Must meet project-specific drug testing, background, and safety requirements.
