Job Description
Service Technician Automation Personnel Services is seeking an experienced Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and electronic systems in marine and industrial environments. This position requires a self-motivated professional who can work independently and as part of a team while delivering high-quality service to customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical troubleshooting skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to travel to customer sites as needed. Pay Rate $ 28-$40 per hour Schedule and Hours 7:30am-4:30pm, Monday- Friday Service Technician Duties and Responsibilities Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair marine and industrial electrical systems and equipment. Perform diagnostics and corrective maintenance on electrical, automation, and control systems. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Conduct equipment inspections and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Complete project work according to customer specifications and company procedures. Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation. Operate company vehicles in a safe and professional manner. Communicate effectively with customers, management, and team members regarding project status and service needs. Assist with commissioning, testing, and startup of installed systems. Service Technician Qualifications and Requirements Clean driving record. Ability to pass a background check. Ability to pass a pre-employment physical examination. Minimum of five (5) years of electrical experience. Industrial electrical experience required. Marine electrical experience preferred. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Experience with electrical controls, wiring systems, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to maintain accurate service and project documentation. Ability to lift, carry, and move tools and equipment as required. Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work in confined spaces when necessary. Willingness to travel to customer sites and work in marine and industrial environments.
