Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both industrial and commercial electrical work, with a solid understanding of electrical systems, blueprints, and schematics. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools and power tools, as well as the ability to work on construction sites and perform renovations. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with NEC standards. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems. Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment. Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure proper operation of automated systems. Perform high voltage and low voltage installations as required. Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure timely project completion. Conduct renovations involving electrical work while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools are accounted for after use. Requirements Proven experience as an electrician in both industrial and commercial settings. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus. Strong knowledge of NEC regulations and safety standards. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters. Ability to perform high voltage installations safely and effectively. Construction site experience is essential; maintenance person experience is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
