- Contract Overview Boston Brothers Construction are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Licensed Electrician to join our dynamic team.
This vital role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across industrial and commercial sites. As a Licensed Electrician, you will ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 standards (National Fire Protection Association), and the NEC (National Electrical Code). Your expertise will help keep facilities safe, efficient, and up-to-date with the latest electrical technologies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovations to new construction, utilizing your technical skills and safety knowledge to make a tangible impact. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage circuits. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults or inefficiencies within complex systems. Ensure all work adheres strictly to local electrical codes, NFPA 70 compliance standards, and safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks on industrial equipment and infrastructure while following proper safety protocols. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for precise electrical work on construction sites or renovation projects. Troubleshoot electrical systems efficiently by analyzing schematics, schematics reading, and system diagnostics to resolve issues promptly. Collaborate with project teams on construction or renovation sites to install or upgrade electrical systems in accordance with blueprints and schematics. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports, troubleshooting logs, and compliance records. Requirements Valid electrician license with proven experience as a licensed electrician in industrial and commercial settings. Extensive experience working with industrial electrical systems, commercial electrical wiring, and high-voltage installations. Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, local electrical codes, and safety procedures. Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Proficiency in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers; power tools; ohmmeters; and other diagnostic equipment. Experience troubleshooting complex electrical systems through diagnostics involving schematics reading and system analysis. Construction site experience with a focus on renovation projects or new installations in industrial or commercial environments. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems is preferred but not required. Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces while adhering to all safety protocols related to high-voltage environments. Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent attention to detail; effective communication skills for team collaboration.
