Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized E&I Electrician / Electro-Mechanical Technician who has a powerhouse combination of strong electrical skills and a rugged mechanical background, backed by a valid Massachusetts Electrician License. This is not a role for standard, run-of-the-mill maintenance. We are looking for an elite troubleshooter with a fierce "can-do" attitude and a reputation for fixing the broken machinery that others say can't be fixed. In this role, you will be the absolute backbone of our facility's uptime. You will handle stressful, high-pressure equipment breakdowns with composure. You need a relentless drive to look past standard answers and not give up when troubleshooting gets tough. Beyond core diagnostics and repair, you will handle electrical installations, manage vendors, utilize CMMS software, and lead heavy machinery relocation using advanced rigging techniques. If you thrive on solving the impossible, we want you on our team. Key Responsibilities 1. Electrical & Mechanical Troubleshooting

• Serve as the go-to specialist to troubleshoot and repair complex failures that combine both high-level electrical controls and heavy mechanical systems.
• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on advanced manufacturing equipment, including heavy hydraulic presses, industrial plate rollers, tube benders, CNC equipment, overhead cranes, and forklifts.
• Troubleshoot and repair specialized plant machinery, including induction heating systems, variable frequency drives (VFDs), PLCs, automated robotics systems, and heavy-duty welding equipment.
• Utilize a wide variety of hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and advanced electrical diagnostic gear (multimeters, meggers) to pinpoint root causes of failures. 2. Electrical Installation & Facility Infrastructure
• Run infrastructure projects, including electrical service upgrades, switchgear installation, sub-panels, and conduit routing.
• Maintain a deep understanding of grounding and bonding principles to ensure a safe, code-compliant facility environment in strict accordance with Massachusetts electrical codes.
• Read, interpret, and update electrical schematics, blueprints, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and mechanical layout drawings. 3. Vendor Management & Parts Logistics
• Handle communications with external vendors, contractors, and specialized equipment service technicians.
• Research, identify, source, and order replacement parts for proprietary and legacy industrial machinery.
• Track inventory of critical spares to minimize production downtime. 4. Heavy Machinery Relocation & Industrial Rigging
• Lead and execute the safe relocation, alignment, and installation of heavy-duty plant machinery as facility layout needs change.
• Masterfully utilize cranes, fork trucks, hoist systems, heavy-duty lifting equipment, chains, slings, and shackles to lift and move massive equipment.
• Ensure all rigging and lifting operations strictly adhere to safe load limits, lifting angles, and weight distribution standards. 5. Admin, Technology & Organization
• Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to track, log, and close out work orders.
• Have good computer skills to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Email to manage parts ordering, generate basic reports, and maintain digital documentation.
• Maintain clean, meticulous maintenance logs, documentation, and highly organized work areas. Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Equipment Operation:

• Must be comfortable and capable of operating fork trucks as well as aerial equipment, including boom lifts and scissor lifts.

• Climate Variety:

• Must be comfortable working in all climate conditions, including seasonal hot, cold, and humid conditions inside and outside the facility.

• Industrial Environment:

• Comfortable working in loud, dusty, and dirty heavy industrial manufacturing environments.

• Confined Spaces:

• Ability and willingness to safely enter and perform repairs in confined spaces when required.

• Strict Safety/PPE:

• Must be able and willing to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, including hard hats, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection.

• Physical Strength:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work securely at elevated heights (for crane, rigging, and aerial lift work), and stand/walk for extended periods on a concrete manufacturing floor. Qualifications & Skills

• Licensure:

• Must hold a valid Massachusetts Journeyman or Master Electrician License (Required).

• Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as an Industrial E&I Electrician or Electro-Mechanical Technician in a heavy manufacturing, fabrication, or mill environment.

• Equipment Skills:

• Proven ability to operate fork trucks, scissor lifts, and boom lifts safely.

• Advanced Troubleshooting:

• Ability to fix things others can't across both 480V 3-phase electrical systems and high-pressure fluid/mechanical power systems.

• Rigging & Lifting:

• Practical experience using cranes, heavy lifting gear, chains, and slings to safely relocate massive machinery.

• Automation:

• Practical experience troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, industrial controls, and industrial robotics.

• Mindset & Resilience:

• Exceptional "can-do" attitude; ability to stay calm, focused, and systematic during stressful, high-stakes machine downtime.

• Computer Skills:

• Proficient with CMMS software and fundamental Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Language:

• Professional fluency in English is required. Bilingual fluency in Spanish is a strong plus. ### What We Offer
