In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across industrial and commercial settings. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage system work safely and efficiently on various construction or renovation projects. Diagnose electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment; develop effective solutions promptly. Install and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components critical for industrial operations. Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for all team members. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete electrical wiring tasks in accordance with local electrical codes and industry best practices. Read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately to guide installation processes on new constructions or upgrades. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to coordinate work schedules and project timelines effectively. Assist in training apprentices or less experienced electricians when needed; share knowledge of schematics reading, wiring techniques, and safety protocols. Experience Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems. Demonstrated ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams with confidence. Hands-on experience working with high-voltage wiring, low-voltage systems, and industrial electrical infrastructure. Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes to ensure compliant installations. Skilled in troubleshooting complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters. Construction site experience including renovation projects or new builds in industrial or commercial settings. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and automation systems is highly desirable. Ability to work safely following all electrical safety procedures while maintaining high-quality workmanship in fast-paced environments.
