Conduit Mechanic - Electrical Services

Job Description

Position Overview Beitzel Corporation is seeking a skilled and dependable Conduit Mechanic to join our growing Electrical Services team. This is hands-on electrical work on industrial and construction projects across power generation, manufacturing, oil and gas, aggregate, coal, solar and wind. Conduit is the heart of it — laying out, bending, racking and installing raceway — but you will see the job through: pulling and terminating conductors, and troubleshooting to the source when a circuit does not come up. If you can hang a straight bank of rigid, make the concentrics match, and land a clean termination, we want to talk to you. In addition to technical work, we value electricians who are looking to continue learning and expanding their credentials. This position does require a flexible schedule, with the expectation of frequent travel and out-of-town assignments. You should be prepared for extended hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional night shifts, depending on project needs. What You'll Do Lay out, cut, ream, thread and install rigid, IMC, EMT, aluminum, PVC-coated and PVC raceway Accurately bend conduit — offsets, kicks, saddles, segmented and concentric bends, rolling offsets — by hand and with mechanical, hydraulic and electric benders Fabricate and hang racked conduit banks, strut, trapeze and hanger supports to NEC support, fill and radius requirements Pull, tag and terminate conductors — set the tuggers, sheaves and lube, then land it clean in panels, MCCs, motors and enclosures Troubleshoot electrical installations and follow a problem to the source until it is solved Work from drawings, conduit and cable schedules and isometrics, and mark up as-builts for turnover Working Conditions Sit, talk, hear, read, and write Walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms Kneel, stoop, bend, squat, and climb a ladder Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Work at a variety of heights Work in confined spaces Work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather Perform duties on-site and underground at industrial locations What You'll Bring Journeyman Electrical license in any state preferred 2+ years' of electrical experience required Three or more years of industrial or commercial conduit installation Real bender proficiency and the conduit math behind it — take-up, gain, shrink, multipliers, developed length How We'll Support You
