Job Description

Seeking a Commercial Service Electrician for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Rockville, MD. This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and 401k!
Pay:
$35 - $48 per hour (based on experience) The Commercial Service Electrician is a licensed field professional responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across commercial and residential service calls throughout the DMV area. While primarily focused on commercial work, this role also supports residential service needs as required. The position serves as the primary customer-facing representative, ensuring safe, code-compliant work, excellent customer service, and mentorship of assigned apprentices. Key Responsibilities Technical & Field Duties Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, panels, fixtures, and equipment. Install conduit, feeders, and panels in compliance with NEC and local codes. Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide safe, code-compliant solutions. Identify safety hazards and code violations during service calls. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics. Perform electrical safety inspections and operate company vehicles safely. Customer & Administrative Duties Deliver professional customer service and maintain strong client relationships. Identify opportunities for additional services that improve safety and value. Obtain required materials and complete service documentation accurately. Team & Leadership Duties Mentor and train apprentices on electrical work, codes, and safety practices. Maintain communication with management and team members. Follow all company policies, OSHA standards, and safety procedures. Qualifications Required Valid Maryland Journeyperson Electrician License (or reciprocal state license). Minimum 3 years of commercial electrical experience. High School Diploma or GED. Strong knowledge of NEC and applicable codes. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Valid driver's license with clean record. Ability to pass background and drug screening. Strong communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift 50+ lbs., climb ladders, and travel within the DMV area. Preferred
OSHA 10/30
