An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Job Description

Electrical, Mechanical and/or Electromechanical background preferred for this position. This is an opportunity to work in a friendly, supportive environment while developing a long-term career. Main Duties Electrical motor mechanics
  • perform some or all of the following duties while upholding all aspects of
Safety Programs and Safety Policies:
Test and observe electrical, electronic and mechanical components and systems using testing and measuring instruments; Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, hydroelectric generators, pumps, generators and other electro-mechanical equipment; Perform static or dynamic balancing of armatures or rotors by welding, brazing or soldering electrical connections and by aligning and adjusting parts; Operate Fork Truck and Overhead Crane; Operate Class C Vehicles; Must be able to Lift and Carry 75 lbs; Perform on-site servicing and repair. Position is hands on, and requires attention to detail. Overtime and Weekends rare BUT mandatory when needed . Travel is seldom, but also mandatory if needed (company vehicle provided). Hourly pay rate is commensurate with experience. Valid driver's license, background check and hand tools required.
