Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, interpret blueprints and schematics, and utilize a wide range of hand and power tools to deliver high-quality electrical solutions. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, industrial, and renovation settings using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations. Work with low voltage and high voltage systems ensuring safe and compliant wiring practices per NEC standards. Utilize testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively. Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate electrical work with framing carpentry and other trades. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and system modifications. Follow all safety protocols rigorously while working on construction sites or renovation projects. Skills Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to electrical installations. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage wiring is highly desirable. Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, along with power tools necessary for installation tasks. Knowledge of NEC regulations governing electrical safety standards across various environments. Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and multimeters. Construction site experience with a focus on renovation projects is preferred. Familiarity with schematics for both high voltage and low voltage systems. Experience working in diverse environments including construction sites or handyman roles involving framing or general maintenance. $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
