What they do
An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Qualifications:
3-5 years of troubleshooting experience with close support of production equipment. Experience with electric motors, drives, & PLCs.Education:
High school diploma or GED required Must have Electrical Journeyman Card salary: $83,200 - $85,092 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 7 AM - 7PMeducation:
High SchoolResponsibilities Repairs, maintains, and installs wiring, motors, motor controls, PLC's, AC/DC Drives, transformers, motors, generators, lighting, instrumentation, valves and other electrical systems. Maintain and repair equipment including Distribute Control System, PLC Equipment, variable speed drives, level, pressure and temperature controls, automatic and pneumatic controls for flow pressure, turbine generators, breakers and power distribution equipment. Provides technical support by operating a variety of electrical testing equipment in locating and determining types of electrical malfunctions within the mill. Studies plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of repairs and/or installations. Application of NFPA Guidelines including publication 70 (National Electric Code).INDRISKP
