Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Building Maintenance Technician with industrial experience to join our facilities team. This role is essential for ensuring the optimal operation, safety, and maintenance of our manufacturing and industrial facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC system repair, and building interior upkeep. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance to contribute to a well-maintained and efficient work environment. Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and mechanical equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Repair and troubleshoot electrical equipment using schematics, wiring diagrams, and tools such as ohmmeters. Perform welding, carpentry, painting, and other building interior maintenance tasks to uphold safety standards and aesthetic quality. Maintain facilities equipment including HVAC systems, plumbing systems, electrical panels, and other mechanical components. Utilize hand tools and electrical testing devices to diagnose issues and execute repairs accurately. Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with industry standards. Lead or assist with projects involving facilities upgrades or renovations while adhering to project timelines. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference. Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and ensure minimal disruption to operations. Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client requests promptly and professionally. Qualifications Proven industrial experience in building maintenance or facilities management. Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and electrical equipment repair. Skilled in welding, carpentry, plumbing system maintenance, HVAC system repair, and general mechanical knowledge. Experience with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) procedures within industrial settings. Ability to operate hand tools effectively and safely; familiarity with electrical work and plumbing systems is essential. Knowledge of residential painting techniques alongside maintenance painting skills. Strong understanding of electrical work including troubleshooting using ohmmeters. Excellent communication skills in English; capable of reading technical schematics clearly. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to guide junior staff or lead small projects.
