Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute installation and maintenance tasks. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and connections safely on construction sites or existing facilities while following strict electrical safety procedures. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify faults or inefficiencies within electrical circuits. Maintain industrial motor control equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motor starters, contactors, relays, and other control devices for optimal operation. Troubleshoot low voltage and high voltage systems including industrial motor maintenance and repair to minimize downtime. Read electrical schematics accurately for system installation or repair projects while adhering to construction site safety protocols. Use power tools and hand tools effectively for wiring, conduit bending, framing carpentry related to electrical installations, and other construction tasks. Document all work performed through detailed reports, logs, and compliance records to ensure traceability and accountability. Skills Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems. Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) requirements for safe electrical installations. Proficiency in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals with precision. Skilled in high-voltage wiring techniques essential for industrial applications involving high-voltage systems. Ability to perform complex electrical diagnostics using voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment. Experience with industrial motor maintenance & repair along with troubleshooting motor control equipment. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, power tools, hand tools, and construction site safety procedures. Strong understanding of electrical building codes and safety standards necessary for compliant installations. Capable of working independently or as part of a team on construction projects requiring blueprint reading and schematic interpretation. Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining high standards of safety and quality workmanship.
