In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 standards (National Electrical Code), and safety procedures. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring and system layouts. Perform electrical diagnostics to identify issues within industrial electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage circuits. Conduct routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Follow all electrical safety procedures in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and local electrical codes during installation and repair work. Use testing equipment such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to diagnose electrical faults effectively. Work on construction sites performing wiring installations, renovations, framing carpentry tasks related to electrical setups, and handyman-type duties as needed. Troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components integral to industrial operations. Ensure all work adheres to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards for safety, quality, and compliance. Experience Proven experience as an electrician in industrial settings with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems. Commercial electrician experience with knowledge of commercial electrical systems installation and maintenance. Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) regulations is required for compliance purposes. Hands-on experience diagnosing complex electrical issues using voltmeters, ohmmeters, power tools, and other diagnostic equipment. Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and blueprints related to low voltage wiring projects. Construction site experience involving renovation projects or new installations is preferred. Knowledge of high-voltage wiring procedures along with the ability to work safely around high-voltage systems. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), automation controls, or similar industrial control systems is a plus.
