Who we are looking for:
We are currently searching for an Electrician II to be based out of Wayne, MI, 2nd shift position for a candidate with experience. The Hourly wage rate for those holding a Journeyman card is $42.78. Reporting to the Purchasing and Maintenance Manager, this person will be responsible to install, maintain, and repair all types of electrical equipment to support production operations.
What you'll do:
Install, maintain, modify, and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipmentInspect, test, and troubleshoot components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches, and switch gearsUtilize blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturers' installation manuals to complete assigned projectsComplete work orders and record material utilized on jobsAll work must be compliant with current National Electric CodeMust maintain production standards to meet internal and external customer demandResponsible for the accurate completion of all paperwork, transactions, tags, etc.
Adhere to all Life Saving Rules, including Lock-Out, Tag-Out (LOTO), Machine Guarding/Bypassing Safety Controls, and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) safety protocolsEnsure Safety, Delivery, Quality, and Cost metrics are met dailySupport 5S initiatives in assigned work areasAll other duties as assignedWhat you'll bring:
High School Diploma/GEDMust hold Journeyman classificationOne year of manufacturing experience preferredBasic math and verbal skillsAbility to learn to use and maintain equipment and machineryAbility to follow standard work processes and operate with a continuous improvement mindsetAbility to lead, assist, and/or instruct employees in the performance of their duties, as requestedFlexibility of shift scheduling, to include overtime and weekendsDemonstrate Atkore Core Values - Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, and ExcellenceMust possess a positive attitude, be a team player, and have strong work ethicWithin 3 months, you'll:

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $42.78/hr. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
