A Product Quality Engineer evaluates and tests products and manufacturing systems, to ensure that products are produced that meet quality and performance standards as well as safety and regulatory requirements. Develops product quality standards and monitors production and product testing.
None Position Overview The Quality / Reliability Engineer will serve as a key member of the Plant Vehicle Team (PVT), supporting quality and manufacturing operations within a high-volume automotive assembly environment. This role acts as the first line of defense for functional system quality, partnering closely with production and engineering teams to identify, analyze, and resolve vehicle quality concerns. The engineer will support body exterior quality initiatives with a focus on trim components, decals, bumpers, latches, sealing systems, and related assemblies. This position requires strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to drive corrective actions to ensure quality objectives are achieved. Responsibilities Investigate and resolve vehicle quality issues impacting production and customer satisfaction. Analyze component, process, and assembly-related concerns to determine root cause. Support corrective action development and implementation with cross-functional teams. Partner with manufacturing, quality, and engineering groups to improve product quality. Monitor assembly processes and component performance to identify improvement opportunities. Support launch, program, and continuous improvement activities within the plant. Drive issue resolution for body exterior systems, including trim, decals, bumpers, latches, and sealing components. Utilize structured problem-solving methodologies to improve quality and reliability performance. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related engineering discipline. 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Quality Engineering Product Development Manufacturing Engineering Program Management Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills. Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment and collaborate across multiple teams. Preferred Qualifications Previous Design Release Engineer (DRE) experience. Experience supporting automotive assembly plant operations. Six Sigma Black Belt training or certification. Master's degree in Engineering or a related field. #INDOEM #LI-KW1
