Summary:
Under supervision, the Master Electrician, in addition to the duties and responsibilities of a journey person electrician, shall be responsible to perform the duties of the mater electrician of record for electrical systems pursuant to Minnesota statutes and electrical codes. Performs general electrical work in the District, such as installs, services and maintains electrical equipment and wiring systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Possession of Class A Minnesota Master's license issued by the State of Minnesota's Board of Electricity Ability to work from drawings and specificationsAbility to make operating repairs to electrical machinery and equipmentAbility to direct and train helpersAbility to maintain harmonious working relationships with other employees.
Knowledge Requirements:
Various types of electrical instruments, equipment and appliances and the standard practices, materials and processes of the electrical trade. Examples of equipment include amp probes, multimeters and circuit tracers.

Installation, operation and maintenance of electrical equipment, apparatus and instruments.

Electronic circuitsLaws, rules and standards related to electrical construction
