As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installation, maintenance and repair projects of electrical systems and components specifically focused on the Telecommunications, Wireless, Utility and UPS markets.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Perform skilled electrical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems for building & grounds and wire mold. Perform the installation of transformers, control boards, electronic circuits, coils, circuit breakers, voltage regulators, switches, fuses, and related electrical equipment. Perform installations of backup generator systems. Determine modifications required when obstructions are met while installing electrical systems. Read electrical blueprints, plans, and schematics. Develops strong line of communication with Electrical Manager/Master Electrician and within all departments utilizing electrical service. Ability to work from wiring diagrams, schematics, sketches, blueprints, and/or verbal instructions. Proficient in the use of standard electrician's tools and measuring/testing instruments such as ammeter, ohmmeter, voltmeter, and testing lamp. Perform other duties and assignments as necessary.
Requirements:
Active Journeyman Electrician license in Minnesota. Strong knowledge of DC power equipment, specifically in telecommunications, switchgear & control, and UPS industries. Strong knowledge of generators, transfer switches, and distribution equipment. Knowledge of electrical principles, applications, techniques, procedures, code, and equipment. Knowledge of local and national electrical code. Demonstrates proper use of material handling equipment. Proactively stays up to date on safety training, compliance, and knowledge of HAZ MAT and DOT requirements. Adheres to company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook and Safety Policy.
Travel Expectations:
Weekly travel up to 75% depending on customer needs. Generally home every weekend.

KS and MO. Ability to work at various heights. Ability to lift items greater than 25lbs (and up to 150 lbs.) repetitively on a regular basis. Ability to maintain a valid driver's license.
