An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.
Job Overview We are building a small, high-quality residential electrical company focused on custom homes and larger residential projects throughout the Kansas City Metro. We are looking for an experienced residential electrician who can grow into a trusted field-lead role - someone who takes pride in clean work, thinks ahead, communicates well, and can eventually run residential rough-ins and trim-outs with minimal supervision. What You'll Do Rough-in and trim custom homes, additions, garages, outbuildings, and other residential projects. Install and terminate services, meter equipment, panels, feeders, branch circuits, lighting, devices, and specialty systems. Read residential plans and carry project layouts from plans and walkthrough notes into the field. Coordinate professionally with builders, superintendents, homeowners, and other trades. Identify conflicts, missing information, and future-use considerations before they become expensive problems. Maintain clean, organized, code-compliant workmanship that reflects Redemptive Electric standards. As experience and trust grow, help lead projects and train helpers/apprentices. Who We're Looking For 2+ years of residential new-construction electrical experience strongly preferred. Custom-home experience is highly preferred. Able to independently rough and trim residential work; lead experience is a major plus. Strong understanding of residential services, panels, grounding/bonding, branch circuits, and NEC requirements. Clean workmanship and attention to detail - we care how the work looks, not only whether it passes inspection. Dependable, self-directed, and able to communicate clearly when something on a job needs attention. Professional around homeowners and builders.
