Duties Assist with routine inspections and preventative maintenance of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical equipment, and building interior components Use hand tools and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters and schematics to troubleshoot issues Support repairs on electrical systems, plumbing systems, HVAC units, and mechanical equipment following safety standards and technical guidelines Perform basic carpentry tasks including maintenance painting and building interior repairs Maintain facilities equipment by conducting scheduled checks and repairs using appropriate tools and techniques Follow schematics and technical manuals to accurately diagnose problems and execute repairs Support maintenance painting projects to enhance the appearance of interior spaces while adhering to safety protocols Collaborate with team members on complex repair projects involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical work, or HVAC system repair Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and operational procedures Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from building occupants or management Experience Basic mechanical knowledge with an understanding of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC systems, and building interior maintenance preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Familiarity with hand tools, electrical equipment repair, schematics reading, and maintenance painting is a plus Experience with maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) activities or residential painting is advantageous but not mandatory Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork Demonstrated ability to follow safety procedures diligently in a maintenance environment Leadership potential for those interested in growing into supervisory roles in facilities maintenance This entry-level position is paid — offering a valuable stepping stone into a rewarding career in commercial facilities management.
