What they do

An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Job Description

This position is eligible for a 15% shift differential. Purpose of the Role Responsible for assisting technical teams of electricians, designers and engineers to create world class detail on a variety of projects. The position will help complete many tasks including pre-wiring containers with lights and switches, and running wires to pumps, motors and generators. Key Responsibilities and Duties Ensuring that electrical systems adhere to the national electrical safety standards and regulations. Reading different types of schematics and P&ID's Recording materials that are used on the job. Commercial/ industrial experience Bending and installing conduit ranging from sizes 1/2'" to 4" Terminating a variety of wire styles and sizes in panels. Perform all duties and tasks as assigned.
Required Competencies Education :
High School Diploma preferred or relevant experience
Experience :
Two years of trade school or related experience (Preferred) and/or two years of experience as an electrician in a similar-sized institution in an engineering or maintenance occupation.
Skills :
Working knowledge of local, state and the National Electric Code (NEC). Knowledge of AC and DC wiring is a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to work in a collaborative team environment. Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Demonstrated leadership skills. Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
