This role involves working on residential and light commercial projects, ensuring safe and code-compliant electrical installations. Responsibilities Install standby generators, transfer switches, and related electrical systems Connect generators to main electrical panels and ensure proper load balancing Perform site assessments to determine generator sizing and placement Install and route conduit, wiring, and grounding systems Test and commission generator systems to ensure proper operation Troubleshoot and repair electrical and generator-related issues Perform routine maintenance and inspections Ensure all work complies with NEC codes and local regulations Communicate with customers regarding system operation and maintenance Qualifications Valid Electrician License (Journeyman or higher preferred) Minimum 5 years of electrical experience Strong knowledge of electrical systems and NEC code Valid driver's license and clean driving record Preferred Qualifications Experience installing Generac or similar standby generators Manufacturer certification (a plus) Not a must-have Experience with residential and light commercial electrical work Skills Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and safety awareness Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication and customer service skills Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ lbs Work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in tight spaces
