Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Service Electrician to join our team. The Service Electrician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in commercial and light industrial environments . This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers while delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in commercial and light industrial settings Perform service calls, repairs, and maintenance on electrical systems, equipment, and components Install, repair, and replace wiring, panels, breakers, outlets, lighting, and other electrical devices Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents Perform preventative maintenance inspections and identify potential issues before they escalate Ensure all work complies with NEC codes, local regulations, and OSHA safety standards Communicate clearly with customers and facility personnel regarding issues, solutions, timelines, and costs Complete service reports, document work performed, and maintain accurate records Maintain service vehicle inventory, tools, and equipment in an organized and safe condition Respond to emergency service calls as needed, including after-hours when required Coordinate with dispatch, project managers, and other team members to ensure efficient service delivery Maintain a clean and professional appearance and represent the company positively in the field All other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Journeyman Electrician license preferred (if required by state/local regulations) Minimum of 2+ years of experience in commercial or light industrial electrical service, maintenance, or repair Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting techniques, NEC code requirements, and safety standards Proven ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently Experience working in occupied commercial or industrial facilities preferred Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong communication and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (company vehicle may be provided) Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying environmental conditions Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and service vehicles
