Electrician Low Voltage and Medium Voltage (Traveling Construction Role) Job Description This role combines hands-on low-voltage and medium-voltage construction work in industrial and data-center environments. You will install, terminate, and energize new electrical infrastructure from detailed drawings, focusing on build and commissioning activities rather than facilities maintenance or plant operations. The position is hourly with overtime and requires significant travel on a rotation schedule, including per diem support while on active construction sites. Responsibilities Install and terminate new low-voltage electrical infrastructure, including conduit, cable tray, underground duct bank, cable, wire, and 480 V building and feeder systems. Pull, land, torque, and energize new 415 V and/or 480 V equipment such as switchgear, busway, PDUs/UPS, main switchboards (MSBs), and grounding systems based on construction drawings and work packages. Support first energization of new 480 V systems by following established lockout/tagout and grounding procedures. Perform industrial and data-center construction or commissioning work, focusing on new builds rather than facilities, service, or plant operations. Install e-house medium-voltage switchgear (MVSG), generator step-up transformers (GSUs), 15 kV and 35 kV cables, and associated duct banks for campus medium-voltage systems. Support hipot and very low frequency (VLF) testing of medium-voltage systems and assist with commissioning activities. Work adjacent to live medium-voltage campus buses at 12.47 kV, 13.8 kV, and 34.5 kV while adhering to
NFPA 70E, OSHA
1910.269, and lockout/tagout procedures. Read and interpret construction drawings, one-line diagrams, manuals, and work packages to plan and execute installation and termination work accurately. Use common electrical test equipment such as multimeters, meggers, and ammeters to verify installations and support commissioning. Perform physical construction tasks, including routing and securing conduit and tray, pulling and terminating cables, and completing high-quality terminations at both low and medium voltage. Follow safety standards and procedures, including NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and medium-voltage switching and clearance practices. Travel with project teams to active construction sites, mobilize as new facilities come online, and relocate as work progresses across different locations. Work nights, weekends, and extended shifts as needed during peak construction and energization periods to meet project schedules. Essential Skills State journeyman electrician license. Minimum of 5+ years of industrial or data-center electrical construction experience installing conduit, cable tray, underground duct bank, cable, and 480 V terminations. Minimum of 5+ years of medium-voltage construction experience at 5 kV or above; 415 V and 480 V experience does not count toward medium-voltage requirements. Documented experience performing 15 kV and/or 35 kV terminations, supported by resume details or manufacturer terminator cards. Hands-on experience with 415 V and/or 480 V systems, including switchgear, busway, PDUs/UPS, main switchboards (MSBs), and grounding. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, one-line diagrams, equipment manuals, and work packages. Proficiency with common electrical test tools such as multimeters, meggers, and ammeters. Working knowledge of NFPA 70E and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures; familiarity with

for medium-voltage switching and clearance. Demonstrated experience in industrial or data-center construction or commissioning environments, rather than facilities maintenance, service, or plant operations. Ability to perform hands-on installation work, including reading prints, making terminations, landing and torquing connections, and completing physical construction tasks. Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work at heights, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks outdoors in all weather conditions. Willingness to work in an hourly role with overtime, including nights, weekends, and extended shifts during construction and energization. Ability and willingness to travel 80% or more on a construction rotation schedule, with per diem and/or housing provided while on site. Comfort working in a traveling construction role that requires frequent mobilization to active data-center construction sites. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience installing and commissioning medium-voltage systems at 12.47 kV, 13.8 kV, and 34.5 kV in campus or data-center environments. Experience installing e-house medium-voltage switchgear (MVSG), generator step-up transformers (GSUs), 15 kV and 35 kV cable, and associated duct banks. Experience supporting hipot and very low frequency (VLF) testing of medium-voltage systems. Exposure to work adjacent to live medium-voltage buses while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols. Familiarity with medium-voltage switching, clearances, and

requirements in addition to NFPA 70E and lockout/tagout. Comfort working in a role focused on construction and commissioning rather than facilities maintenance or operating-plant responsibilities. Openness to hourly compensation with overtime, rotational travel schedules, and per diem or housing arrangements while on assignment. Why Work Here? This opportunity offers a strong long-term incentive program, including a significant equity grant that vests over four years, rewarding your contribution to large-scale infrastructure growth. You benefit from an hourly structure with overtime potential, providing additional earning opportunities during busy construction and energization phases. The role offers consistent exposure to cutting-edge industrial and data-center projects, creating a clear path for professional growth in both low-voltage and medium-voltage disciplines.
