About the role A 4-year paid apprenticeship that trains you to become a licensed electrician — and a structured program designed to get you to business ownership in 8 years. Most tradespeople who want to own a business get there slowly — undercapitalized, without clients, without a business structure, figuring it out alone. We compress that. You will graduate your apprenticeship with savings, clients, credentials, and a plan — not just a license. Compensation — The 8-year arc Year 1: $50,000

Classroom instruction scheduled around your work week. You graduate with a journeyman electrician license — a government-recognized credential that is yours permanently. What you'll work on Residential, commercial, and industrial installation New construction, renovation, and service calls EV charging infrastructure and solar integration Panel upgrades, code compliance, permit work Estimating and quoting The business track (runs parallel from year 1) While you are apprenticing, you are also building the foundation of your company: Year 1: Financial coaching. Savings targets. What it actually costs to launch and run a trade business. Year 2: Estimating and quoting. How to price jobs profitably. How to read a scope of work. Year 3: Client development. How to build a referral network while still employed. By the time you launch, you have customers already waiting. Year 4: Full business formation. Legal structure, licensing, insurance, accounting, hiring your first employee. Introductions to contractors who built their own companies and will tell you exactly what they wish they had known. Year 5: Launch — with capital saved, clients in hand, credentials stacked, and a network behind you. Professional development OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 (year 1) NCCER Core and trade-specific modules (years 1-3) EPA Section 608 — opens HVAC crossover revenue (year 2) Solar PV installation certification (year 3) EV charging infrastructure certification (year 3) Journeyman license exam prep and sitting fees covered (year 4) Every credential is yours. They compound. Community & network Monthly dinners with your cohort and people 1-3 years ahead of you A live group chat — job site questions, leads, gear, local work Quarterly events with journeymen and business owners at every stage A mentor from week one — someone running their own business who started here, will answer their phone, and will tell you the truth Annual gathering of the full network across cities Travel & mobility Prevailing wage projects — data centers, solar farms, grid infrastructure — regularly pay 1.5-2x your local rate Spending 6-12 months on a major project in years 3-4 can compress your savings timeline significantly Your journeyman license carries reciprocity across most states Travel is an option, never a requirement Benefits Health, dental, and vision from month one Paid time off and holidays Overtime — typically 10-20% above base Retirement contributions Tool allowance Business formation support in years 3-4 Who we're looking for Your background does not matter. We want people who want to build something, are willing to start from the bottom, and are thinking about where they want to be in 8 years.
