Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Service Electrician to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves overseeing electrical service projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and leading a team of electricians to deliver top-quality electrical solutions across various commercial and industrial settings. As a Lead Service Electrician, you will be responsible for managing complex electrical systems, diagnosing issues efficiently, and ensuring all work adheres to local electrical codes and safety procedures. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced electrician eager to take on leadership responsibilities and make a tangible impact through expert electrical craftsmanship. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate electrical service projects, including installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial and commercial electrical systems. Diagnose complex electrical issues using advanced troubleshooting techniques and electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute precise wiring and system setups. Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards), NEC (National Electrical Code), and local electrical codes. Supervise the installation of high-voltage electrical wiring, low-voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other industrial electrical components. Maintain strict adherence to electrical safety procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols, PPE use, and hazard assessments on construction sites or renovation projects. Mentor junior electricians by providing guidance on technical tasks such as schematics reading, wiring techniques, troubleshooting procedures, and safety practices. Skills Extensive experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in commercial electrical systems. Proven expertise in troubleshooting electrical systems across diverse environments using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment. Deep knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance standards, NEC regulations, and local electrical codes to ensure safe and compliant installations. Ability to read complex blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and electrical blueprints accurately. Skilled in installing high-voltage electrical wiring and working with industrial electrical systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Strong understanding of low voltage systems, electrical wiring techniques, schematic reading, and circuit troubleshooting. Construction site experience with renovation projects or new installations in commercial or industrial settings. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to diagnosing issues quickly and efficiently. Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring projects combined with a commitment to safety procedures at all times.
