An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.
Commercial & Industrial Electrician East Coast Electric is looking for an experienced Commercial & Industrial Electrician to join our growing team. Minimum 5 years of commercial and industrial electrical experience Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical installations Proficient in conduit bending , including EMT, RMC/IMC, and other raceway systems Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, plans, and specifications Experience with electrical installation, troubleshooting, and electrical equipment Must be comfortable working from man lifts and aerial lifts Ability to work safely at heights and in an active construction environment Must be able to work independently and as part of a crew Good communication and problem-solving skills Must have reliable transportation and a good work ethic Must be able to pass a 50-state background check due to work on military installations Responsibilities Install commercial and industrial electrical systems Bend and install conduit and raceway systems Pull and terminate wire and cable Install electrical equipment, panels, disconnects, transformers, and related equipment Read and work from electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs Work from lifts, ladders, and elevated work platforms when required Maintain a clean and safe work area Follow NEC requirements, project specifications, and company safety procedures Work professionally with other trades, supervisors, customers, and project personnel What We Offer East Coast Electric believes that good employees should be rewarded and treated with respect.
