Job Description

Electrical Mechanic / Commercial Electrician SorTek, LLC is seeking 6-8 experienced Electrical Mechanics / Commercial Electricians for a project in Jacksonville, NC . The primary scope of work will include commercial electrical rough-in and general electrical mechanic duties. We are looking for dependable electricians who can work efficiently as part of a team while maintaining a safe and professional jobsite. Responsibilities Perform commercial electrical rough-in work Install and bend EMT conduit Install electrical boxes, supports, hangers, and associated materials Pull and route electrical wiring Install branch circuits and electrical components Assist with panel and equipment installations Read and follow electrical drawings, prints, and specifications Measure, cut, bend, and install conduit Identify and properly use electrical materials and tools Perform electrical mechanic duties with limited supervision Follow all OSHA and jobsite safety requirements Maintain a clean and organized work area Work effectively with supervisors, other electricians, and construction trades Qualifications Previous commercial electrical experience required Rough-in experience strongly preferred Ability to bend and install EMT conduit Ability to read basic electrical prints and drawings Knowledge of commercial electrical systems and installation practices Must have basic electrical hand tools Reliable transportation to the Jacksonville, NC jobsite Must be dependable and able to report to work on time OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a crew Preferred Experience Ideal candidates will have experience with: Commercial construction Electrical rough-in EMT conduit installation Wire pulling Branch circuits Panels and electrical equipment Electrical troubleshooting Reading construction and electrical drawings
