Lanier Electric Group is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Lead Electrician to join our team. We're a family-owned electrical contractor serving residential and commercial customers throughout our local communities. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, communicates well with customers and coworkers, and is comfortable taking the lead on jobs. This position is a good fit for an electrician who already has solid field experience and is ready for a role with more responsibility, independence, and opportunity to grow. What you'll be doing: Lead residential and light commercial electrical service and installation projects Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues Review upcoming jobs and help determine necessary materials and equipment Perform accurate measurements and material takeoffs Work alongside and help guide apprentices/helpers Communicate professionally with homeowners, business owners, and our office Complete work safely, neatly, and in accordance with applicable electrical codes Help keep projects organized and moving efficiently Perform installations such as panel replacements, service upgrades, generators, EV chargers, circuits, lighting, troubleshooting, and other electrical projects We understand that nobody knows everything, and we aren't looking for perfection. We are looking for someone with a strong electrical foundation who can think through a project, take ownership of their work, ask questions when necessary, and continue learning. What we're looking for: Several years of electrical field experience Strong residential service and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and lead a small crew Comfortable reading job scopes and planning materials for projects Good communication and customer-service skills Valid driver's license with clean driving record and dependable transportation Professional attitude and strong work ethic Willingness to teach less-experienced team members and work as part of a team. Experience with commercial service, generators, EV charging equipment, service changes, and larger electrical projects is a plus. Pay is based on experience and will be determined at time of hire.
