Journeyman Electrician / Foreman Empire Electrical Contractors is looking for an experienced Journeyman Electrician/Foreman to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a dependable leader with strong residential and commercial electrical experience. This position requires someone who can manage a crew, communicate professionally, solve problems in the field, and complete projects safely and efficiently while meeting NEC requirements and company standards. Requirements Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician or Electrical Foreman Strong residential and commercial electrical experience Proficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) Ability to read and understand electrical plans, specifications, and schedules Ability to lead, organize, and supervise a field crew Able to plan daily work, assign tasks, and keep projects on schedule Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Reliable, punctual, and professional Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, in crawl spaces, and at heights Able to lift and carry tools and materials as needed Professional communication with customers, contractors, inspectors, suppliers, and team members Must be able to pass a drug screening Must be available for occasional night work Must be willing to travel within North Carolina when required; overnight travel may occasionally be necessary Responsibilities Lead residential and commercial electrical projects from start to completion Supervise electricians, apprentices, and helpers Review plans, specifications, and project requirements before beginning work Assign daily tasks and clearly communicate expectations to the crew Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems Ensure all work complies with the NEC, approved plans, and local inspection requirements Coordinate jobsite needs, materials, equipment, and scheduling with the office Track project progress and promptly communicate delays or concerns Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite Verify that installations are complete, properly tested, and ready for inspection Represent Empire Electrical professionally with customers, general contractors, and other trades Follow and enforce all company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Consistent work with a reputable local electrical contractor Leadership opportunities within a growing company Residential and commercial project experience Professional and respectful work environment Opportunity for long-term career growth
