Role:
We are seeking a skilled, independent Service Electrician to help drive our residential service division. In this role, you will handle diagnostic calls, repairs, and new installations directly with residential customers. If you are a seasoned electrician who thrives on troubleshooting, installing quality work, and delivering top-tier customer service, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and install residential electrical systems (panel upgrades, EV chargers, generator interlocks, surge protection, service changes, and indoor/outdoor lighting). Interact directly with homeowners in a clean, professional, and respectful manner. Estimate service jobs on-site and present clear options and solutions to customers. Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized workspace and assigned work vehicle during shift hours. Work independently to execute service calls accurately and safely according to current electrical codes.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of residential electrical experience (service, troubleshooting, and installation experience strongly preferred).
Code Knowledge:
Thorough working knowledge of current NEC standards and local NC building codes.
Communication:
Strong interpersonal skills—ability to explain technical issues clearly to homeowners.
Driver's License:
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (Required).
Professionalism:
Neat appearance, strong work ethic, and ability to pass a background check/drug screening.
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly Pay:
$24.00 - $30.00 / hour (based on experience). Performance Pay Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Holidays. Tool allowance / company-provided specialty tools. Clear opportunities for career advancement as our service department grows.
