Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as an Electrician Helper and be a vital part of electrical installation and maintenance projects across diverse construction environments. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced electricians, gaining hands-on experience in both industrial and commercial electrical systems. You will assist with wiring, troubleshooting, and installing electrical components, ensuring safety and quality standards are met on every project. Responsibilities Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on construction sites. Prepare work areas by organizing tools, materials, and equipment such as hand tools and power tools. Support the reading and interpretation of blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to ensure accurate wiring and system setup. Help with the installation of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Use testing equipment like ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical circuits and identify issues efficiently. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols, including proper handling of electrical components. Support framing carpentry tasks when required to facilitate electrical installations within structures. Qualifications Prior experience working with residential or commercial electricians is highly desirable. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprints reading, and basic electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters. Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems along with NEC compliance standards. Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety procedures and OSHA regulations. Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately. Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills in electrical work. Construction or frame carpentry experience is a plus but not required.
