Commercial EV Charging Station Foreman Needed Role Overview A Commercial EV Charging Station Foreman is a hands-on field supervisor responsible for leading crews in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. This role blends electrical and construction expertise, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and project delivery. Key Responsibilities Field Supervision & Workforce Management Lead and supervise electricians, technicians, and subcontractors on EV charging installations. Assign daily tasks, manage productivity, and ensure workflow sequencing. Review and approve timesheets; provide coaching and performance feedback Safety Leadership Serve as the on-site safety lead, enforcing OSHA and company safety standards. Conduct daily Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), toolbox talks, and safety inspections. Ensure proper PPE use, lockout/tagout procedures, ladder safety, and electrical safety protocols Project Execution & Installation Oversee trenching, foundations, conduit, equipment setting, and charger installation. Perform hands-on work when needed, including lighting retrofits, controls integration, and EV charger setup. Coordinate with civil subcontractors to align electrical work with structural components Quality & Compliance Ensure work meets design drawings, specifications, and NEC code compliance. Correct deficiencies before inspections or turnover. Maintain accurate daily reports, time tracking, and job documentation Coordination & Communication Liaise with project managers, engineers, utility companies, and local authorities. Schedule inspections, coordinate with AHJs, and verify site readiness. Represent the company professionally with customers, inspectors, and partners Mentorship & Training Train and mentor crew members to maintain consistent workmanship and safety standards. Support repeatable field processes and best practices for scaling EV construction Qualifications & Skills Education & Certifications High school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred. OSHA 30-Hour, or EVITP certification (plus) Experience 5+ years in electrical or construction foremanship, preferably in EV infrastructure or renewable energy. (plus) Experience with EV charger deployment, solar canopies, and battery storage systems (plus) Skills Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities. Ability to work independently and in teams, outdoors, and in varying weather conditions. Proficiency with hand and power tools, schematics, and inspection records Physical Demands Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders/stairs, and work in outdoor environments. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and operating tools Work Environment Position is located in Southeast US and is entirely Outdoors work Exposure to weather extremes (heat, cold, wind, rain). Frequent travel to multiple project sites (up to 75% travel) Salary Salary is based on qualifications and experience and will be discussed during the interview process.
