An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

$38.30 Work Location Main Campus Job Description Summary The part-time Electrical Install and Troubleshoot Instructor will teach students basics of electrical installation and troubleshooting, including both residential and commercial systems. This class meets at Goodwill on University Parkway.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Electrical License and/or five (5) years of approved experience in the electrical trade.

Model an understanding of and commitment to the comprehensive community college philosophy and mission. Assume responsibility for teaching assignments as designated by the department chairperson and approved by the dean. Assume responsibility for maintaining all required College records including attendance and grade reports, roll books, etc. Compile bibliographies of specialized materials or outside reading assignments as applicable. Make recommendations to Department Chair for supplies, equipment, and equipment repairs. Construct, administer, and grade examinations. Assume responsibility for being familiar with and adhering to all policies of the College.
