Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems in accordance with electrical codes and safety procedures. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system modifications. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and connections safely on industrial equipment and machinery. Conduct diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify electrical faults efficiently. Maintain compliance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code) regulations during all electrical work. Troubleshoot complex electrical issues within industrial systems using schematics, schematics reading skills, and diagnostic techniques. Collaborate with construction teams during renovation or new installation projects to ensure seamless integration of electrical components. Follow strict electrical safety procedures to protect yourself and colleagues while working on low voltage or high voltage systems. Read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately to plan wiring layouts for commercial and industrial electrical systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete installation or repair tasks efficiently. Requirements Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician with a strong background in industrial electrical systems installation and maintenance. Commercial electrician experience is highly desirable, demonstrating versatility across different environments. Knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance standards along with local electrical codes is essential for safe operations. Skilled in electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems, reading blueprints/schematics, and interpreting technical diagrams. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), high-voltage wiring (up to 600V), low voltage systems, and schematics reading. Proficiency with testing tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment. Ability to work on construction sites or renovation projects while adhering to safety protocols; construction experience is a plus. Familiarity with high-voltage electrical wiring practices and industrial electrical blueprint reading is required. Strong understanding of local electrical codes including NEC standards; hands-on experience with power tools is necessary. Excellent troubleshooting skills combined with the ability to interpret complex schematics quickly and accurately. Valid certifications in electrical work; additional handyman or construction experience is advantageous.
