Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial environments, ensuring adherence to NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association code) and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute electrical work. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage system installations with precision and safety. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify faults and resolve issues efficiently. Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously while working on construction sites or renovation projects involving complex electrical systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete wiring tasks, conduit bending, panel upgrades, and system modifications. Troubleshoot electrical systems by analyzing schematics, schematics reading, and performing systematic testing to pinpoint problems quickly. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution from initial installation through final inspection. Qualifications Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems. Extensive knowledge of local electrical codes (including NFPA 70), blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and electrical wiring standards. Hands-on experience with high-voltage electrical wiring, low-voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and troubleshooting complex electrical issues. Ability to read electrical blueprints accurately and translate technical drawings into real-world applications. Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other testing equipment for precise troubleshooting. Familiarity with construction site procedures, renovation projects, framing carpentry basics, handyman skills, and working safely at heights or in confined spaces. Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent attention to detail; proactive in identifying potential issues before they escalate. Valid electrician license or certification as required by local jurisdiction; commitment to ongoing professional development in electrical safety procedures and industry standards.
