Position Summary:
Work involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical/electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment in Nebraska. The National Electrical Code and all other applicable standards and specifications are followed. A valid, active Nebraska Journeyman Electrician license (issued by the Nebraska Department of Labor and Industry) is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrate safe work habits, and comply with Company safety requirements Working knowledge of construction, electrical work, systems, and troubleshooting Proficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes and
OSHA/MSHA
safety standards. Enforce all national and local codes and keep up with any changes in the industry Ability to read and interpret blueprints Possess strong expertise in all aspects of trade related materials, components, equipment, systems, methods of installation, safety procedures, safe work practices, trade related calculations, blueprint and drawing interpretation, and troubleshooting Able to dig trenches and excavations, either by use of hand tools or power equipment Able to safely operate two-handed tools/equipment such as cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jack hammers Properly care for material, tools and equipment Represent E&T Electric, LLC professionally at all times Effective communication, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills Able to work weekends, days and nights, and extended periods, depending on the demands of the job Able to travel out of town and stay overnight as required, including relocating out of state if needed Able to show up to work on time and on a daily basis
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions, including cold Nebraska winters, and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the job site Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds and push and/or pull 50-pound loads at a time Must be able to stand and walk up to eight hours per day and climb multiple sets of stairs while carrying materials weighing between 40 and 60 pounds Must be able to work some Saturdays/Sundays and at night, when needed
