This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-voltage electrical wiring, industrial and commercial electrical systems, and advanced motor control equipment within a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and installing complex electrical components on semi trucks, ensuring compliance with all electrical safety procedures and building codes. If you thrive on technical challenges and have a passion for electrical work in the transportation industry, this position is perfect for you! Responsibilities Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting on semi trucks, including high-voltage systems and low-voltage circuits Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems such as motor control equipment, wiring harnesses, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute installations and repairs Conduct routine electrical maintenance to ensure optimal performance of industrial motors and commercial electrical systems Follow all electrical safety procedures in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements Utilize hand tools, power tools, ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics to perform precise electrical work on construction sites or within shop environments Ensure all work complies with electrical building codes and industry standards while maintaining a clean, organized workspace Experience Proven industrial electrician experience with a focus on high-voltage electrical wiring and troubleshooting in commercial or industrial settings Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and motor control equipment maintenance Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance standards, NEC regulations, and electrical safety procedures Construction site experience involving electrical installation or maintenance projects is highly desirable Familiarity with industrial motor maintenance and repair techniques along with construction experience involving frame carpentry is a plus Ability to read electrical blueprints accurately using schematics and technical diagrams Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers as well as power tools like drills and saws for installation task
