Apply Overview Salary Range $30.00 - $30.00 Hourly Level Experienced Position Type Full Time Job Shift Swing Education Level High School Travel Percentage None Category Facilities Apply Description Job Summary The PM Maintenance Technician ensures production and quality by maintaining and repairing a wide range of machinery, equipment, and systems in a bakery environment, with a strong emphasis on electrical diagnostics and repair. This role requires a mechanically inclined professional with preferred electrical troubleshooting skills who can maintain operational efficiency and minimize downtime. You will work as part of a larger maintenance team and be responsible for both preventative and corrective maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems.
Schedule:
PM shift (must be flexible) Key Responsibilities Mechanical and Electrical Duties include, but are not limited to: Ensure operation of machinery and equipment by completing preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns, focusing on both mechanical and electrical components. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including motors, control panels, wiring, sensors, switches, and production line power supplies. Use appropriate test equipment such as multimeters, clamp meters, and megohmmeters to diagnose and isolate electrical faults. Interpret and follow electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams. Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical equipment including panels, lighting, and production machinery. Maintain, adjust, and repair mechanical systems such as pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, gearboxes, pumps, and motors. Follow safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and adhere to electrical codes and OSHA standards. Document maintenance actions, irregularities, and maintain logs to ensure continuity across shifts. Maintain parts inventory, anticipate equipment and supply needs, and expedite orders as needed. Contribute to a clean, safe, and efficient working environment by complying with internal procedures and regulatory standards.
Qualifications Required Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Maintenance Technician. Minimum of 3 years of mechanical experience in a bakery or industrial setting. Valid driver's license.
Preferred Knowledge & Skills:
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints. Working knowledge of electrical safety standards and basic NEC codes. Familiarity with PLC systems is a plus. Basic understanding of boiler systems. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to work in confined spaces and on ladders or elevated platforms.
