In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new construction to renovation, utilizing your technical skills and problem-solving abilities to keep electrical systems running smoothly. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, ensuring adherence to local electrical codes and NFPA 70 standards. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts. Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify faults and determine appropriate solutions. Execute high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while following all electrical safety procedures and regulations. Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low-voltage systems to support automation and control functions within facilities. Use hand tools, power tools, conduit benders, and frame carpentry skills to complete installations efficiently on construction sites or renovation projects. Troubleshoot complex electrical systems by analyzing circuit diagrams, testing components, and implementing effective repairs promptly. Requirements Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical work. Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) compliance requirements for safe electrical installations. Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Skilled in electrical diagnostics with tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters for troubleshooting purposes. Experience working with industrial electrical systems including high-voltage wiring and automation controls like PLCs. Familiarity with local electrical codes, safety procedures, and best practices for construction site environments. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently. Hands-on experience with low voltage systems, blueprint reading, renovation projects, and general construction work is highly desirable.
