Duties Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations. Troubleshoot electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify faults and implement effective solutions. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely on industrial and commercial sites while adhering to NFPA 70 compliance standards. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete electrical installations efficiently on construction sites or during renovation projects. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure ongoing safety, functionality, and compliance with electrical safety procedures. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades such as frame carpentry or handyman services during construction or renovation projects. Experience Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial environments with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems. Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Hands-on experience with low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), high-voltage wiring, and troubleshooting complex electrical issues. Familiarity with local electrical codes including NEC standards and NFPA 70 regulations for safe electrical practices. Experience working on construction sites or during renovation projects involving electrical wiring installation or upgrades. Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters for precise troubleshooting.
