The ideal candidate will have experience working in industrial environments such as power plants, mines, manufacturing plants, and other industrial facilities. This position requires a well-rounded electrician with a diverse skill set, a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges. The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for performing and overseeing a variety of industrial electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications and applicable electrical codes. Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair medium- and high-voltage electrical systems and equipment. Perform electrical installations, terminations, and connections for industrial equipment, machinery, and facility systems. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and one-line diagrams. Troubleshoot electrical systems using meters, testing equipment, and diagnostic tools to identify and correct faults. Install and maintain motor control systems, MCCs, transformers, switchgear, disconnects, and distribution equipment. Troubleshoot and repair motors, starters, VFDs, control circuits, and industrial automation equipment. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain conduit, cable tray, wire, and electrical raceways. Perform electrical testing and preventative maintenance on industrial equipment and systems. Assist with PLC, instrumentation, automation, and control-system troubleshooting as needed. Identify electrical hazards, unsafe conditions, and equipment deficiencies and take appropriate corrective action. Follow NEC requirements, OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and project-specific safety procedures. Complete electrical work in accordance with project specifications, plans, and established quality standards. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime. Work with project managers, foremen, engineers, and other trades to coordinate electrical work and resolve field issues. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, equipment issues, testing results, and materials used. Safely operate electrical testing equipment, hand tools, power tools, lifts, and other equipment required to perform assigned work. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Participate in shutdowns, startups, commissioning, and emergency electrical repairs when required. Perform other electrical duties and responsibilities as assigned. Skills MUST have experience with GRC, EMT, Robroy, cable tray, duct bank, and Teck cable installations 5+ years of industrial electrical experience, preferably in power plants, mines, manufacturing plants, or similar environments Proficient in PLC and VFD installation and troubleshooting, motor controls, distribution gear, and transformers Experience with conductor termination ranging from #18 through 500 MCM Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, one-line diagrams, and technical drawings Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills Nevada Electrical Qualification Card, OSHA 10/30, and MSHA certifications preferred Are you a well-rounded electrician who can do all of this and more?
