Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems within industrial environments. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of complex electrical machinery and systems, supporting our commitment to operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, including new installations, renovations, and ongoing maintenance across industrial facilities. Your proactive approach and technical proficiency will be vital in maintaining compliance with safety standards and electrical codes. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage controls. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system modifications. Conduct diagnostics using multimeters such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to identify electrical faults efficiently. Perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment to prevent downtime and extend system lifespan. Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, local electrical codes, and safety procedures. Install and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems within industrial settings. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely to complete electrical installations and repairs on construction sites or renovation projects. Skills Extensive experience as an industrial electrician with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems. Proven commercial electrician experience with knowledge of commercial electrical systems installation and maintenance. Deep familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code) compliance requirements. Skilled in electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting complex electrical systems efficiently using appropriate tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and schematics reading devices. Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, schematics diagrams, and blueprints accurately for installation or repair tasks. Experience working with high-voltage electrical wiring safely in industrial environments; familiarity with low-voltage systems is a plus. Strong knowledge of local electrical codes, safety procedures, and best practices for electrical work on construction sites or renovation projects. Capable of performing high-voltage wiring tasks while adhering to strict safety standards; previous construction experience is advantageous. Hands-on experience with troubleshooting electrical systems in industrial settings using advanced diagnostic tools. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation processes; ability to modify or troubleshoot PLC programs is desirable. Skilled in reading electrical schematics and blueprints for precise installation or repair work; handyman experience adds value for versatile tasks.
