Job Description
- Electrical Junior Mechanic
- Job Summary
- Seeking an Electrical Junior Mechanic with commercial construction experience to support electrical installations on large commercial job sites. Candidates should be skilled in conduit work, wiring, fixture installation, and reading electrical blueprints while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Responsibilities
- Bend and install EMT and other conduit systems
- Pull and terminate MC, BX, and other electrical wiring
- Install lighting fixtures, devices, switchgear, and electrical equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical prints, and schematics
- Run conduit for lighting and power distribution systems
- Assist with troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems
- Maintain OSHA and site safety compliance at all times
- Use hand tools and cordless drills safely and efficiently
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and professional
- Work closely with foremen and site supervisors to complete projects on schedule
- Requirements
- 4+ years of commercial electrical experience
- Experience bending EMT and installing conduit systems
- Ability to pull wire and install electrical components
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and blueprints
- Experience with commercial electrical construction projects
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Reliable transportation and basic electrical tools
- Strong work ethic, attendance, and communication skills
- Work Environment
- Commercial construction projects throughout NYC and surrounding boroughs
- Requires PPE including hard hat, safety vest, work boots, and safety glasses
- Work may involve ladders, lifts, open ceilings, and active construction environments

Pay:
Competitive based on experienceSchedule:
