Job Description

Cabinet Maker / Woodshop Assistant North Fork Equestrian is looking for a Part-Time or Full-Time Cabinet Maker / Woodshop Assistant to join our growing woodworking operation. We manufacture custom equestrian tack trunks and are looking for someone with experience in cabinet making, furniture building, woodworking, or a similar trade to help us expand production. We're looking for someone who is comfortable working in a woodshop, understands basic woodworking and assembly, and can help with the day-to-day process of building high-quality products. Responsibilities Cutting plywood, lumber, and other materials to size Operating common woodworking and shop equipment Assembling cabinets, boxes, furniture, or similar products Measuring, marking, drilling, fastening, gluing, and general assembly Installing hardware, hinges, handles, trim, and other components Sanding, finishing, and preparing pieces for final assembly Reading basic measurements, drawings, and cut lists Helping maintain an organized and efficient shop Assisting with other woodworking and production tasks as needed What We're Looking For Previous experience in cabinet making, furniture building, carpentry, woodworking, or a related field Comfortable using table saws, miter saws, routers, drills, sanders, and other common shop tools Ability to accurately use a tape measure and follow dimensions Good attention to detail Dependable and able to work independently as well as part of a small team Willingness to learn our products and production process This is a hands-on position in a growing part of our business, with the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities as production expands.
